About Psy. María De Jesús Pérez Martínez
I see adult patients in individual therapy who are looking to reduce the impact caused by the symptoms of a mental health condition or are looking to learn how to deal with problematic behavior. I practice cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, primarily using rational emotive behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy approaches. I also have skills in psychological assessment. I am a member of the Mexican Psychological Society. I am open to answering any questions before patients decide to begin a therapeutic process with me.

Therapeutic Approach
My approach is cognitive behavioral. The first session consists of an interview to determine the treatment goal. The next session usually includes an assessment to determine the problem and establish treatment strategies. These strategies are implemented during a few sessions, and as the problem diminishes, an assessment is made to determine whether treatment should be discontinued. Finally, the final sessions focus on relapse prevention.
